I've done 10 000km on this rear tire and it is in need of changing. My bike is only about 48hp, so unless you have a very low powered bike, don't expect very high mileage from this tire.
When this tire is new, it's dry weather grip is ordinary. I never had a slip on asphault even under hard cornering. However, that's what you would expect from any modern tire.
Similarly, when the tire is new, wet road grip is passable as well. You can even ride pretty sportingly. However, any brake application while still leaning over from a corner will break traction fast.
Handling and comfort are all okay as new.
However, here's the thing. The tire life isn't very long, and this tire has no special dual compounds or curing processes. This leads to the soft tire wearing out unevenly. The squared off rear tire will lead to some bad behaviour while cornering.
Similarly, the wet traction after the tire wears worsens dramatically. Even with just a moist road surface, my little F 650 will spin the back tire all through first and second gear while trying to slither up to speed on a highway on ramp. Cornering grip is affected too, and I got into a mid-corner slide on another ramp on a damp road, and just managed to save the bike from low- and highsiding.
I didn't get a chance to do any serious offroading with the tire. I did drive plenty of stints on dry unpaved and gravel roads and it did fine.
In essence, the tire is a passable item for a very cheap price. When I bought it it was 62 eur and the cheapest tire available in my size at mprengas-online.com . But I will look for a higher quality tire on my next round of shopping.
